At some point in my years as a Constellator I realized every human ill came down to grief. Every tool, every philosophy, every ancient and new approach, every single moment of unresolved trauma that was getting passed from one generation to the next, every endless war…is due to not being able to grieve. When we grieve….we complete. When we grieve we love. When we grieve we are open. Your love and your grief exist in equal measure. This cannot be bypassed.
I have had many, many blessings in my life and one of these was being exposed to the writing and talks of Stephen Levine in my early 20’s. I also got to be in his presence in both small and large groups.
This early book is timeless and as relevant now as then. Possibly it becomes more and more relevant as our world opens up to the truth of the violence and carelessness we must all learn to grieve and love through…together.
